⛳ A Golf-Course Lifestyle That Starts in Your Driveway
Wake up to sweeping fairway views in this single-story Silver Lakes home positioned directly on the golf course near the 9th tee box. A private cart path connects the driveway to the course’s regular cart path, allowing you to head from home directly to the tee.
Why This Golf Course Home Stands Out
-
Private golf-cart path from the driveway connecting directly to the community cart path at the 9th tee box
-
Prime position beside the tee box rather than farther down the fairway near the typical landing area
-
Single-story floor plan with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and approximately 1,594 square feet
-
Vaulted, beamed living-room ceiling adding warmth, character, and an open feeling
-
Classic red brick fireplace anchoring the spacious living area
-
White kitchen cabinetry, Corian countertops, and stone-tile backsplash
-
Light-filled dining area with walls of windows overlooking the golf course
-
Primary suite with dual closets and private access to a secluded patio
-
Covered rear patio and mature landscaping creating an inviting setting for relaxing or outdoor dining
-
Attached two-car garage, central air conditioning, and forced-air heating
The open floor plan is centered around a classic red brick fireplace, while the vaulted, beamed ceiling adds character and visual interest to the living room. Large windows bring in natural light and keep the golf course scenery visible from the main living spaces.
The kitchen features white cabinetry, Corian countertops, and a stone-tile backsplash, opening naturally to a bright dining area surrounded by windows. It is an inviting layout for everyday meals, entertaining, or simply enjoying the view.
The primary suite includes dual closets and private access to a secluded patio. Outside, the covered rear patio is framed by mature landscaping and looks directly across the green fairway—an ideal setting for morning coffee, outdoor dining, or relaxing at the end of the day.
What truly separates this property is the private cart path beginning at the driveway and connecting to the community path beside the 9th tee. Instead of loading up or driving through the neighborhood to reach the course, you can take your cart directly from home.
Silver Lakes residents also enjoy access to a clubhouse, swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness center, community lakes, and the golf course—all within a community conveniently located near Highway 18 with access toward Victorville and Apple Valley.
The Lifestyle in One Sentence
Enjoy fairway views from your covered patio, then drive your golf cart from your own driveway directly to the 9th tee box.
Golf-Course Location Note: The home’s location beside the tee box may reduce exposure to errant golf balls compared with properties positioned farther down the fairway. No golf-course property can be represented as completely free from golf-ball exposure.
HOA Note: Silver Lakes amenities, rules, fees, availability, operating schedules, golf privileges, lake access, and usage requirements are subject to the association’s current policies and should be independently verified.

A Family-Owned Ontario Favorite for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner
This week’s local business spotlight goes to Brothers Burgers, a family-owned-and-operated Ontario restaurant serving a broad mix of freshly prepared burgers, Mexican favorites, breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and comfort food.
Located on Mountain Avenue, Brothers Burgers is the kind of neighborhood restaurant that can satisfy an entire family even when everyone wants something different. One person can order a charbroiled burger, another can choose tacos or a burrito, and someone else can still get a full breakfast.
Why We’re Spotlighting Them
-
Family-owned and operated, with two brothers combining their restaurant experience to create a menu and style of their own
-
Years of hands-on industry experience behind the restaurant’s recipes, service, and everyday operation
-
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, making it an easy choice at almost any time of day
-
A wide-ranging menu featuring burgers, breakfast burritos, omelets, pancakes, tacos, quesadillas, Mexican plates, sandwiches, salads, and family packs
-
Freshly prepared dishes served in a casual, family-friendly neighborhood setting
The story behind Brothers Burgers is rooted in hands-on restaurant experience. The brothers worked in the industry for years before combining what they had learned with their own ideas, preferences, and recipes.
That background shows in a menu that goes far beyond the basics. Along with traditional hamburgers and cheeseburgers, customers can choose from breakfast plates, loaded breakfast burritos, French toast, omelets, chili cheese fries, carne asada fries, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches, dinner plates, and plenty of other familiar favorites.
Whether you are stopping in for an early breakfast, grabbing a quick burger for lunch, or feeding the family after a long day, Brothers Burgers offers the variety and relaxed atmosphere people appreciate in a true neighborhood restaurant.

🏗️ Commercial Property of the Week
Bear Valley Road Commercial Infill Lot — C-2 Zoning in Hesperia
✅ C-2 General Commercial
📍 Bear Valley Road Frontage
🚗 Approx. 55,000 ADT
🏢 Retail / Restaurant / Auto / Services
|
|
|
Lot Size
Approx. 0.699 Acres
|
Property Profile
C-2 Commercial • Infill Lot • MLS #CV26124179
|
🎯 THIS WEEK'S OPERATOR PLAY
Bear Valley Road keeps proving itself as one of the busiest commercial corridors in the Victor Valley — this is a rare shot at a level, ready-to-build C-2 lot on that same stretch, surrounded by retailers that already pull daily traffic.
|
📍 0 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia, CA 92345
Still available and still turning heads: this C-2 General Commercial infill parcel on Bear Valley Road sits on one of the High Desert's busiest retail and service corridors. The lot runs approximately 0.699 acres inside the City of Hesperia, fronting a stretch that sees roughly 55,000 vehicles a day.
💡 Best Fit: Retail / Restaurant / Auto-Related / Service Use
C-2 zoning keeps the door open for a wide range of concepts — retail, restaurant, auto-related uses, personal services, and other neighborhood-serving commercial operators, subject to city approval and buyer verification.
- One of the last Bear Valley Road infill opportunities still on the market in Hesperia.
- Approx. 0.699-acre level rectangular lot, ready for site planning and development.
- C-2 General Commercial zoning with possible retail, restaurant, auto-related, and personal service uses.
- High-traffic corridor exposure with approximately 55,000 average daily vehicles passing the site.
- Surrounded by proven commercial activity, including Arco, Little Caesars, Food for Less, Metro PCS, and other nearby retailers and services.
- Less than 2 miles from I-15 and the Mall of Victor Valley, adding regional access and consumer traffic potential.
- Utilities available in the area. APN: 0414-031-09.
📊 Corridor Note
Bear Valley Road remains one of the most recognizable commercial corridors in the Victor Valley, and level, C-2-zoned infill parcels like this one do not sit on the market long. For operators who need visibility, traffic counts, and nearby daily-needs retail activity, this is worth a serious look now.
Commercial land in established corridors is hard to replace once it is gone. This parcel offers the kind of practical frontage and surrounding business activity that continues to appeal to owner-users, developers, and investors looking for a Hesperia commercial site with strong local exposure.
Buyer to verify all information including lot size, zoning, permitted uses, traffic counts, utilities, access, development requirements, availability of services, property boundaries, environmental conditions, and all property features. Listing information deemed reliable but not guaranteed and subject to change without notice. Listing courtesy of Robert St. Onge, First Team Real Estate.

Your Home’s First Showing Often Happens Online
Before buyers step through the front door, they are usually deciding whether your home deserves a closer look. 📸🏡
Professional presentation can help your home make a stronger first impression from the very first click.
The Online Debut Matters
In today’s market, your home’s first showing often happens online. Buyers may scroll through dozens of listings before deciding which properties are worth touring in person.
High-quality photos can capture buyers’ attention, highlight your home’s best features, and encourage more people to schedule an in-person tour. Clear, bright, thoughtfully composed images help buyers understand the home’s layout, condition, character, and lifestyle before they ever arrive.
That is why I work with trusted professionals and help my sellers prepare their homes to make the best possible first impression. Good photography is important, but the preparation that happens before the camera arrives can be just as valuable.
A Photo-Ready Game Plan May Include:
- Reducing clutter so rooms feel open, organized, and inviting
- Adjusting furniture and décor to highlight space and natural flow
- Improving lighting and opening window coverings before photography
- Cleaning visible surfaces, windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring
- Preparing the front yard, entryway, patio, and other outdoor areas
- Identifying the home’s most valuable features and making sure they stand out
Buyers form opinions quickly. A strong online presentation can help your property earn attention, create interest, and motivate buyers to take the next step by scheduling a private showing.
Thinking About Selling?
Let’s create a strategy that helps your home stand out from the very first click—from preparation and professional photography to pricing, promotion, and showing-day presentation.
Marketing recommendations may vary based on the property, condition, location, price range, occupancy, seller goals, and current market conditions. Photography, preparation, and marketing services are subject to the terms of the individual listing agreement.

🏛️ Hometown History
Newberry Springs Edition
The world-famous Bagdad Café stands along Historic Route 66 in Newberry Springs—not in the former desert town of Bagdad.
|
The World-Famous Bagdad Café Wasn’t Actually in Bagdad
One of the Mojave Desert’s most recognizable Route 66 landmarks has a surprising secret: the Bagdad Café is located in Newberry Springs, roughly 50 miles west of the former town of Bagdad that inspired its name.
The Newberry Springs restaurant was known as the Sidewinder Café when filmmakers selected it and the neighboring Henning Motel as locations for the late-1980s film Bagdad Café. The quirky movie told the fictional story of a stranded German tourist whose arrival transforms a lonely Route 66 truck stop and the people living around it.
The movie developed an international following—particularly among European Route 66 travelers—and the Sidewinder Café was eventually renamed the Bagdad Café. The weathered roadside diner became a destination in its own right, welcoming visitors from around the world who wanted to see the setting of the cult-classic film.
The real Bagdad had once been a small railroad and mining community farther east along Route 66. Founded after the railroad arrived in 1883, it included homes, hotels, saloons, stores, a school, a passenger station, and its own café. The town gradually disappeared as railroad and mining activity declined, and its remaining buildings were demolished in 1991. Today, the Newberry Springs movie location is far better known than the vanished town whose name it borrowed.
Quick takeaway: The famous Bagdad Café was originally the Sidewinder Café in Newberry Springs. A movie renamed the landmark and made it internationally famous, while the actual desert town of Bagdad disappeared.
Question: Have you ever stopped at the Bagdad Café—or driven past it on Route 66 without knowing the story behind its name?
