The Buzz Is Real

More than a dozen buyers submitted their information to learn more about this home in just the past week — real interest, not just clicks. If you have been on the fence, now is a good time to take a closer look before someone else does.

🏡 Space, Views, Function, and a Fresh New Look

This Hesperia tri-level brings together the kind of features buyers keep asking for: wide-open views, usable space, a detached workshop, multiple decks and balconies, and a recently added new roof — and buyers are taking notice.

Top Highlights
  • More than a dozen buyers requested more information on this home this past week — real momentum
  • New roof recently added — a major improvement that helps create extra buyer confidence
  • Custom 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath tri-level home with approximately 2,384 sq ft on about 0.85 acres
  • Wide-open High Desert views from decks, balconies, and multiple living spaces
  • Detached RV-style garage/workshop with approximately 35' x 24' dimensions and room for projects, storage, tools, or toys
  • Multiple decks and balconies that extend the living space outdoors and take advantage of the elevated setting
  • Flexible bonus room off the main living area — ideal for an office, gym, sunroom, creative space, or possible 4th-bedroom setup
  • Lower-level family room with open-beam ceiling, wood-burning stove, and access to the patio and garage
  • Ask about special financing options that may be available for qualified buyers

Some homes are worth a second look because they offer a combination that is hard to duplicate — and this week, buyers agreed. With more than a dozen people reaching out for details, this Hesperia property with views, privacy, a workshop, a flexible floor plan, multiple outdoor spaces, and a new roof is clearly catching people's attention.

The tri-level layout gives the home character and separation, with different spaces for relaxing, working, entertaining, or spreading out. The main living areas take advantage of the windows and views, while the lower-level family room adds a cozy retreat with open-beam ceilings and a wood-burning stove.

Outside, the decks and balconies make the most of the elevated setting, and the detached workshop gives you the kind of extra space that is getting harder and more expensive to recreate.

If you want a home with more space, more function, more views, and more personality — and one that other buyers are already circling back to — this Hesperia property deserves a closer look, and it may be time to talk strategy.

A Small Cafe With Big Flavor

This week's local business spotlight goes to Red Hen Cafe in Helendale — a cozy Route 66 diner serving up hearty breakfast and lunch plates just off the historic highway.

I stopped in recently and can tell you firsthand: it is small, but the service was great, and the food backed it up. I have been on a personal quest to try every Chicken Fried Steak in the High Desert, and Red Hen's Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs Skillet did not disappoint — a hearty, comforting plate that is exactly what you want from a classic Route 66 diner.

Why We're Spotlighting Them
  • Truly local Helendale diner with a friendly, small-town feel
  • Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs Skillet — a personal favorite worth the trip on its own
  • Great, attentive service even with a small dining room
  • Historic Route 66 location on National Trails Highway, right in the heart of Helendale
  • Solid daily breakfast and lunch hours, seven days a week (minus Wednesdays)

Route 66 is full of roadside stops that trade on nostalgia alone, but Red Hen backs it up with real, made-to-order comfort food and a team that makes you feel like a regular the first time you walk in.

If you are craving a classic breakfast skillet, a hearty lunch plate, or just an excuse to explore a piece of Helendale's Route 66 history, this is one of those local spots worth putting on your list.

🏗️ Commercial Property of the Week
Bear Valley Road Commercial Infill Lot — C-2 Zoning in Hesperia
✅ C-2 General Commercial 📍 Bear Valley Road Frontage 🚗 Approx. 55,000 ADT 🏢 Retail / Restaurant / Auto / Services
0 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia CA 92345 — C-2 commercial infill land parcel on Bear Valley Road
Offered At
$350,000
Lot Size
Approx. 0.699 Acres
Property Profile
C-2 Commercial • Infill Lot • MLS #CV26124179
🎯 THIS WEEK'S OPERATOR PLAY
Bear Valley Road keeps proving itself as one of the busiest commercial corridors in the Victor Valley — this is a rare shot at a level, ready-to-build C-2 lot on that same stretch, surrounded by retailers that already pull daily traffic.

📍 0 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia, CA 92345

Still available and still turning heads: this C-2 General Commercial infill parcel on Bear Valley Road sits on one of the High Desert's busiest retail and service corridors. The lot runs approximately 0.699 acres inside the City of Hesperia, fronting a stretch that sees roughly 55,000 vehicles a day.

💡 Best Fit: Retail / Restaurant / Auto-Related / Service Use

C-2 zoning keeps the door open for a wide range of concepts — retail, restaurant, auto-related uses, personal services, and other neighborhood-serving commercial operators, subject to city approval and buyer verification.

  • One of the last Bear Valley Road infill opportunities still on the market in Hesperia.
  • Approx. 0.699-acre level rectangular lot, ready for site planning and development.
  • C-2 General Commercial zoning with possible retail, restaurant, auto-related, and personal service uses.
  • High-traffic corridor exposure with approximately 55,000 average daily vehicles passing the site.
  • Surrounded by proven commercial activity, including Arco, Little Caesars, Food for Less, Metro PCS, and other nearby retailers and services.
  • Less than 2 miles from I-15 and the Mall of Victor Valley, adding regional access and consumer traffic potential.
  • Utilities available in the area. APN: 0414-031-09.

📊 Corridor Note

Bear Valley Road remains one of the most recognizable commercial corridors in the Victor Valley, and level, C-2-zoned infill parcels like this one do not sit on the market long. For operators who need visibility, traffic counts, and nearby daily-needs retail activity, this is worth a serious look now.

Commercial land in established corridors is hard to replace once it is gone. This parcel offers the kind of practical frontage and surrounding business activity that continues to appeal to owner-users, developers, and investors looking for a Hesperia commercial site with strong local exposure.

Buyer to verify all information including lot size, zoning, permitted uses, traffic counts, utilities, access, development requirements, availability of services, property boundaries, environmental conditions, and all property features. 🏛️ Hometown History

Corona Edition

Aerial view of a circular traffic roundabout, similar to Corona California's famous circular Grand Boulevard
Corona's Grand Boulevard is a perfect circle — the very shape that turned this town into an early auto-racing sensation.

The Circle City That Raced Legends

Long before it was known for lemons, Corona was known for speed. Back in 1886, the city's founders laid out a perfectly circular boulevard — about a mile across — surrounding the original townsite, and it is the reason Corona still carries the nickname "Circle City" today. In 1913, a group of local boosters looked at that mile-wide circle and saw something else entirely: a racetrack. They paved it, built grandstands, and hosted the Corona Road Races, drawing legendary drivers like Barney Oldfield and Eddie Rickenbacker (yes, the future World War I flying ace) to compete for a $10,000 purse — a massive sum at the time. Thousands of spectators packed the circle for races in 1913, 1914, and 1916, before safety concerns brought the events to an end. Grand Boulevard still loops around downtown Corona today, a quiet reminder of the city's wild need for speed.

Quick takeaway: Corona's downtown streets were literally built as a giant circle — and for a few wild years in the 1910s, that circle was one of the most famous auto-racing circuits in America.

Question: Ever driven the loop around downtown Corona without realizing you were tracing a 1913 racetrack?
